Log in as administrator, open a command window and type That command gave: "The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed." |

I'm trying to install Boinc on my WinXP laptop(if only it were as easy as my debian box). Ideally, I'd like to run Boinc when I am logged into my user, but not as administrator. I've installed many programs in c:/Documents and Settings/myuser/Program Files. However, when I try and install Boinc, it wants me to be the adminstrator, so I log in to admin. Once I've installed the program, I choose that I'd like it to run when anyone is logged in. So, I log out, and then log back in to my normal user, and guess what - no boinc! I try to browse to the c:/Program Files/Boinc but I don't have access to this directory as my usual user. I've also tried running Boinc as a daemon, regardless of who is logged in. However, Boinc asks for a username and password (of the admin). My admin (don't ask why) doesn't have a password, but Boinc insists that there should be one. I enter one, and, of course, Boinc fails to initialise the 'service'. Pls advise. TIA Adam |
