I re-installed onto C drive and went and edited the regedit entries for DATADIR and INSTALLDIR to C and it works now. Thanks for the help!

I'm running BOINC manager 7.6.33 (x64) on my 64-bit Windows 7 i7 rig and it won't let me upgrade to version 7.8.3. I keep getting the message "Error 1325. Programdata is not a valid short file name." I've done the Google and it seems that it's a field in the installer package's file data that needs amending but I'm at a loss as to how to do that. This happens every time I run the .exe whether in Admin role or not. Assistance will be appreciated!
