Greetings all, BOINC 7.4.27 x64 fails to add world community grid project repeatedly after entering username and password. It keeps coming back with an error about missing e-mail: Messages from server: missing or bad parameter: email_addr I had to reset the project to try to clear dozens of tasks that were idle. That didn't work so I suspended, then reset and then removed the project from BOINC 7.4.27. When I try to add WCG project back, I get the error above. I did try to use e-mail address for username, but just got an error that it isn't the correct username. What is the deal with this e-mail error message blocking connection to the project? I can access the WCG website just fine. Thanks. |

Hi I had the same problem. I used the command line to attach.. first go to your wcg account on the web and get your External Authorization Code. it is under settings -> profile Then, get a terminal window and issue the command boinccmd.exe --project_attach http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org [your code] Since the command line worked, I'm not sure why the GUI didn't...But this will get you started.. Good fortunes, Jay -edit- add code section to show spaces clearly |

Thanks for the alternate method to connect to the project. Hopefully the BOINC and WCG developers will get it together and release a new version soon and make this a non-issue via the GUI like it was in previous versions. |

I asked for 7.4.36 to be pushed to recommended before Christmas, but apparently the developers are on vacation already. You can get the test version from post 58623 in the BOINC 7.2/7.3/7.4 Change Log and News thread though. Edit: having said that they're on vacation they prove me wrong. Wait one more day, there's a good chance that 7.4.36 will be pushed to recommended before Christmas. :) |

You can get the test version from post 58623 in the BOINC 7.2/7.3/7.4 Change Log and News thread though. I had an email from Rom yesterday asking me to 'Please help us complete the testing of BOINC version 7.4.36.', But unfortuently it's only two days before christmas and i don't have the time to do all the testing in the Matrix for 7.4.36, On the other hand i hoped i would get an acknolgement about my weekend Linux Bug report, even if it was just to say they understood, didn't understand, or knew about it already, But no word, so i'm disinclined to even start running through the 7.4.36 matrix, even if i was local to those machines. The only one I had a reaction on was the minimum RPC time bug. |

Good chance then that 7.4.36 will be released to the public tonight, as a Christmas present. :) |
