Hello, I could use some direction.

I noticed that no tasks are running. Actually, 20 have completed, and have not uploaded, and no new ones have downloaded.

I've restarted my Windows 8.1 computer a few times, but nothing changes.

Since system updates occur occasionally, maybe an update is causing a problem. But, the BIONIC manager starts and seems to run just fine.

I run Norton 360, and BOINC is listed as ALLOW all protocols.

I didn't change anything myself, that I know of. So, I've got no clue why everything was fine a few days ago.

Any help on how to determine the problem would be appreciated.

What project is this on? Are their Servers up? What does their Server Status page say?

Their Project, their Servers, this Web forum/Server is totally independent to any project, If you have problem getting work from Setiathome, ask them, If from Einstein, ask at Einstein's forum, if it's from CPDN, ask on their forum.

I have the same problem. I am running Ubunto 14.07 lte. The system is only running BOINC. I am running both poem and rosetta. The servers are not down, The system was working until a few days ago. In using Ubuntu I can't get the advanced interface so am left with a very basic manager.
Restarted the computer and no change. I can use a browser with no problems. Jim

I'm only running rosetta@home.

The status page for that seems to be all GREEN, and fine as far as I can tell.

My BOINC "Transfers" page shows 20 lines like the following with Project and Status like:

Project: rosetta@home Status: Upload: pending (project backoff: 01:06:01)

With the time at the end counting down.

I need it to upload, and I need it download some work. And, this was working fine for many months.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

From the Rosetta front page:

We are aware of significant network slow-down between the subnet upon which our servers sit and the Internet beyond the UW campus. We are working with the UW's Network Operations team to pinpoint the cause. We apologize for the frustration caused. -KEL

Someone mentioned POEM. Seems they are out of work. I posted something in the forum there asking what's up.

As others noted, Rosetta has a network issue on the UW campus somewhere and they are looking into it. Uploads/downloads do make it every once is a while so the network is not totally dead, just very very slow.
