Ever since I upgraded to BOINC Manager v5.4.9, it seems that my completed WU's just sit there until I manually update a project. Then they upload just fine and new WU's will download. Anyone else having this problem? Am I just missing something on the config?

Check in Boinc Manager, Activity, what the status of your Network activity is. If it's set to Suspended, then no uploads/downloads will take place automatically. You pressing the Update button overrides this setting for a while.

Set your activity to "run based on preferences".

BOINC reports completed work at the first of:

1) The next work request from a project.
2) 24 hours before the deadline.
3) Immediately if the work is completed later than 24 hours before the deadline.
4) Connect every X days after the work is completed.
5) With the next trickle (CPDN only at this point).
6) When the user clicks update.
7) Connect every X days before the report is due. (new with 5.4).

Ageless, thanks for the reply. However, on all of my machines the network activity is set to always available. This has not precluded at least two of my PC's from having WU's "ready to report" and just sitting there past the report deadline without sending results. I never had this problem with the older version of the software.

Are you on a modem or other itermittent connection? If so, have you been turning off BOINCs network before detaching from the internet?
