I was used to see my computers crunching short-deadlined results mostly in EDF mode (3.21 days connect time, BCC 5.3.31). (Otherwise I ignore EDF mode, no panic necessary :)

Recently I noticed that after getting few Pirates hello units (approx. 17 seconds each), few of them were crunched in EDF mode and then Boinc continued in usual HDF mode. This would be no problem, but it surprised me, because the deadlines are much less than my connect time.

And four days ago at morning I noticed that I have three units, with deadline at 17:50 local time, and connect-between settings actually disables network connection between 8:00 and 19:00, so these units wee effectively too late.
