Hello all!

I am having issues getting my screensaver to run. Well...technically, it will run with, say, SETI, but it will work for a couple seconds, then restart. It will say "BOINC Screensaver Now Loading", then do another few seconds of graphical work, and start again.

Not sure if this affects the workload, but the constant flashing between the two is kind of annoying, and really not what the screensaver is about. Initially had issues running it at all, but i put the workload down from 100% to 80%, and at least I got it to work a little bit.

Has this been brought up before?

I'm on Win 7 64 bit, i7 core, ati radeon mobility 6800 if i remember correctly. I can post more system info if needed, but heading to bed for now.

Yes. It's a problem in BOINC 7.2.39, 7.2.42 and all of the 7.3 alpha and beta versions till date. The developers are looking into it. No ultimatum yet as to when it is fixed.

I'm having the same problem since I upgraded to Maverics. It is annoying, and I will have to turn my Mac off when I am not using it since the screen keeps flashing.

Finally found an answer, Hurrah! Been having this problem for a while too (Win 7 system). Uninstalled, re-installed, altered prefs, altered them back half a dozen times. Glad to know it's a known issue.
