I have repeatedly asked the admin of DrugDiscovery@home to enable a minimum RAC requirement including code I was given from Ageless to do so. He has not done so and I'm fighting an unending battle against the spammers.

I will no longer put forth as much effort to keep the forums clean if he won't help me by enabling that code.

I believe spam controls may have finally been enabled on Drug Discovery. I'm still cleaning it up when I can but I think progress has been made.

You're fighting a losing battle Blurf. BOINC is a VOLUNTEER project run by VOLUNTEER admins that do it in their spare time and are not paid for it. All Dr. Anderson has done is to prove that volunteer distributed computing is TECHNICALLY feasible, which is correct. But people like him have their head in the clouds as they cannot see how to translate that into real day to day life outside of a Uni environment.

So now we have another Seti Mark donations person. Good to know. Especially when the subject was projects EXCEPT Seti. OBW isn't that why he can only post here? And just how much have you given to each of those projects in the list in your signature?

Many of those super small projects only have one person to run the project and the boards with a zero budget, depending on "stealing" bandwidth and electricity form a generous "employer." A donation, of any size, might go a long way to being able to despam their forum boards.

Guess you didn't see my followup post Chris-the issue is resolved.

It shouldn't be Uli, I do absolutely agree, but when one gets challenged to justify ones self, you have to step up to the plate and be counted. I have done that although I would rather not have had to do so. Other people have given 10 times what I have or only a smaller amount, but every single $ counts and is gratefully received.

You weren't challenged, I suspect you didn't see Blurf's message where he mentioned RAC > 0 and I followed on with DONATION > 0 all in reference to shoestring projects.
