I'm running BOINC on my Droid Bionic (Android 4.1.2). I checked the log files on the phone, and this is what I'm getting...

It looks like my phone isn't processing data at all. Can someone shed some light on what this means?

Edit: For the time window I posted, the phone was at 100% charge and plugged in, which is how I have it set up in preferences. Running BOINC version 7.3)

Did you add a project, and if so, which one?

I think the latest version in the Play store is 7.3.5. Is that the version you are running?

I'm running Einstein...

Regarding downloading the new version, I thought that even if you had an old version, it would update along with all of my other apps.

Based on the screenshot below, it looks like work is being done... but based on the logs, it's not.

Oh, and BOINC wanted an update, so it's running 7.3.5 now.

Well, your log does state:

Sun Feb 23 06:27:45 EST 2014||don't use GPU while active
Sun Feb 23 06:27:45 EST 2014||don't compute while active

So whenever you fiddle with your phone, BOINC won't do a thing.
As for the log showing anything, that depends on what level of logging you allow for the Event Log. I suppose when it's set to level 0 or 1, there's not much showing.

Based on the picture, the Boinc Icon in the top left corner shows Boinc as being suspended,
and at the Bottom it says 'Connect your device to a charger to continue computing' as to why it's not computing.

If you connect your charger it'll probably then say 'Turn your screen off to continue computing', so either do that, or go into the preferences and allow computation when screen is active,
and if you want it to do (or not do) computation on the Wall socket/USB Connection/Wireless Charger/Battery go into the 'Power sources for computation' page and select or deselect as required.

The level of verbosity is for the GUI messages only, and not the client messages.

And what, pray the devil, are GUI messages?

Claggy...the screenshot was taken simply to show that I'm running Einstein, and to show the current progress and time spent computing.

It was unplugged intentionally for that, so I know it wasn't computing in that moment. The issue I'm having is that according to my logs, I'm not computing AT ALL...and yet I seem to be making progress.

Set the verbosity to 5, then look at the tab to the right of the Client messages. (It's blank at verbosity level 2)

Don't worry about the 'don't use GPU while active' and the 'don't compute while active' messages, my HTC One S says that too, But none of my computing preferences location/venues are set like that, I think that is hardwired in:

Wed Feb 26 00:29:58 GMT 2014||don't use GPU while active
Wed Feb 26 00:29:58 GMT 2014||don't compute while active

using the 'Pause computation when screen is active' button does give a computation suspending message because I'm using the screen:

Wed Feb 26 00:42:19 GMT 2014||Suspending network activity - computer is in use
Wed Feb 26 00:42:19 GMT 2014||Suspending computation - computer is in use

Your messages relate to the Boinc GUI not being active, and suspending network activity (and probably computation, they are linked together),
does computation continue O.K if you keep the GUI open? - check the seconds are counting up O.K, and don't reset back to an earlier time, repeatable. (I reported a Bug with the latest Boinc 7.3.4/.5 and Albert at homes apps where this happens)

I understand if the Boinc GUI isn't active then computation will suspend, if you leave the GUI and open another app, it doesn't mean the GUI is removed from memory, it could be a while before Android removes it from memory, and cause suspension,
I'm leaving the GUI closed over-night to see if I can replicate it.
