I am getting 'Communication Deferred' all time. What am I supposed to do?
I did allow Bionic manager through firewall(Windows Firewall). But still the problem persists. I just click update and wait for 15-40mins and it just says the same yet again.

Any solution will be appreciated.

What am I supposed to do?

At least you should tell as why the communication is deferred. We need an error or status message (BOINC manager advanced view), since you are giving only the result, not the reason.

Furthermore, to help us helping you, read this link and give the requested information.

Same issue here. Running the latest download from BOINC and Win 8.1. Whenever a communication attempt is made I receive the "communication deferred" message and the countdown clock is reset to 23:59:59.
"Scheduler request pending, Requested by project, Communication deferred hh:mm:ss"

James, feel free to open up a topic over at the WCG BOINC support forum. Include a copy of the Event log [Ctrt+Shft+E to open in BOINC Manager]. The 24 hour back-off cycle was I think discussed before over there, but can't remember at this time why exactly. Firewall open -outgoing- on certain ports is a pre-requisite [e.g. 443 for https]
