orbit@home is upgrading! They've had that message up for at least a couple of months now. But here we are 2/3 through November and nothing seems to be happening. ::frustration:: signature |

The ETA has changed from "October/November 2013" to "early 2014"... *twiddles thumbs* |

Just bumping the thread so it doesn't autolock. Now returning to Rip Van Winkle mode. signature |

My previous message was supposed to have this line added: A new version of the system should be online in early 2014. Rip Van Winkle is my younger brother by the way...just kidding. |

Another thread bump. Now back to hibernation, even as spring approaches (in the northern hemisphere). signature |

I was a volunteer since the first incarnation, before the website layout was switched to a boinc project design. This latest shutdown and re-organization means I will have to sign up yet again. That will be the third time I'll be required to join again. I wish it wasn't necessary and liked the single and double digit user id numbers I had previous times I joined. Even so, I am looking forward to this project finally becoming an active project and plan to run it as soon as I see it has re-launched. |

I only know what's posted on the project site but I am looking forward to seeing the project up and running. |

I tried emailing the founder and he didn't bother replying so you can only go with what the website says. |

Have you heard anything about when that might be? Some time this century I expect, unless the founder becomes immortal, then the next millennium is a possibility, ;-) Claggy |

Any bets that the website text will change to "late 2014" rather than the project actual resuming? |

There's a very good chance of that I'm sure. I am not holding my breath. ;-) |

Thread bump. No news. Page still says early 2014. Pasquale hasn't even posted any news on his page since Jan. 2. signature |

Their funds have probably dried up. I doubt we'll see this any time soon. |

The message on the Orbit home page now says "A new version of the system is in the works, and we expect to bring it online in the 2014-2015 period." Pasquale tweeted the same last Thursday. signature |

Good, at least he reacted hopefully to the many tweets sent to him on the subject. |
