Well, even less hope for the project: http://www.bitcoinutopia.net/bitcoinutopia/forum_thread.php?id=276#5254

Thanks everyone - but it's probably not much use to raise private donations for QCN. I'm the only computer person on the project and I'm moving on to other things. The project will remain active (ie the servers up and monitoring) so that's about it. Like most academic institutions, raising private money like this would probably never reach the project anyway (we tried that at Oxford for CPDN and the institution keeps most of it and maybe enough trickles down for a one-night beer/pizza party for six people on the project :-)

Constellation is down since Monday, without any information.

No upload and no website.

It's a week now with no information that I can find.

Seti seems to have exploded and fallen off the face of the earth. No pings, no uploads, no nothing. And weekend.

Budding Setians, gather in Mark's thread. :)

The Campus IST Service Status shows.
Outage Type: SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE
Date Submitted: Tuesday, October 21, 2014
Outage Start/End Time: 0630 – 0700
Groups impacted: Earl Warren Hall, Data Center
Equipment: inr-210, inr-202

Description: The link between inr-210 and inr-202 will be taken out of OSPF in order to troubleshoot an issue with a fiber optic tap.

Once the issue is resolved the link will be added back into OSPF during a second maintenance event under a future UCB Net Announcement.

No outage is expected.

Please direct any questions you may have regarding this announcement to: Paul Jacobs

CMR: 3302

SETI@home operates on primarily on inr-211 but also inr-210. There were some issues a while back with the connection failing over from inr-211 to inr-210. Could be issues in that switch/router again.

Looks like Asteroids@home is down.. Again...

No forum access, server not responding on upload of finished WU's, nor on update requests, Boinc client logfiles state server is inaccessible.

The scheduler came up yesterday (my phone reported the tasks it finished several days ago), but the project as a whole is still down. Web site still says "down for maintenance" and the scheduler is saying "no work available."

Seti doesn't say it is down when I go there.

Boinc can also communicate:

07/11/2014 9:46:30 AM | SETI@home | update requested by user
07/11/2014 9:46:32 AM | SETI@home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
07/11/2014 9:46:32 AM | SETI@home | Not requesting tasks: don't need
07/11/2014 9:46:35 AM | SETI@home | Scheduler request completed

If it was down it would say so.

This is the server status page: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sah_status.html

It's Seti/Astropulse Beta. not Seti@home you are talking about, just realized - a slight difference.

My error, sorry.

Asteroids@home is down. BOINC functions and the website.

For the last couple of days their server had been complaining about being out of disk space so they might be fixing it.
