Hello I got the message to update to BOINC 7.0.54 and as the installation is almost ready I got an error message" Error 1402, Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\D6F8BE...\...148F. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

How can I solve this? Now nothing is working anymore, the previous version 7.0.28 is no longer complete.
Has anyone a solution please?
Thanks

When in doubt, try throwing the error code into a search engine. It's what I do.
The error you get is NOT a BOINC error, but a Windows Installer error.

See http://www.okino.com/conv/changing_windows_registry_permissions.htm for a fix.
