It would be a great deal more help to show how (one iteration only) of [Work_fetch_debug] looks in your message log. From that screen, it looks as if Moo! Wrapper is restricted by a 'maximum tasks in progress' setting, and SETI@home is restricted by their notoriously overloaded download link. Both of these are project issues, nothing to do with BOINC. On the subject of the SETI download link: somebody with a better knowledge of networking protocols than me has finally found the relevant page in the manual: RFC 1323. There's an active dicussion with examples and HowTo going on at the moment in Windows TCP Settings - Help with server communication. We'll write it up in a sticky over the next few days, once all the wrinkles have been tested and ironed out. ID: 48066 · |

It would be a great deal more help to show how (one iteration only) of [Work_fetch_debug] looks in your message log. But I did click on the update button on both projects and none tried to fetch new work... They will do that as soon as they are out of work. Then why do I have the option to try to have a 2dayof work in Boinc? Or 6 days which only will set 1 project in high prio mode. I thought it was a BM .42+ problem but now I run .28 again and the same thing occours. BM seems to work only when there are available tasks at high speed dl of all projects. I saw a similiar behaivior when running the 70 seti ap's I got some day ago and collatz went down. I ran collatz and seti on 3 gpu's at the time. Then the same thing happens. Not asking for work until out of work. I tried BM Alpha when .7 was developed and I said this to the developers as well. All the answers I got said that "BM is working and we have made it work this way". I as a multi project multi gpu user still say that there are some malfunctions. Work cache is not filled properly when 1 project gets behind... This is like my futile attempts to find more people to have the same non request for work "problematic". I've been at it since the start of the development of BM 7. I guess I am alone about this. Then it is me that.... ID: 48067 · |

How can you demonstrated that they didn't request work, if you don't post the work fetch log - which these days is copiously annotated with the reason why work isn't being requested, for each separate project? This is how it has been the last 24hours. Getting 3-6 new ap tasks running them until none is left. asking for new tasks. getting 3-6 tasks running them. and so on. You have projects excluded from GPUs. There is active debugging work going on in this area, but as David said on Saturday, "Work fetch with GPU exclusions is proving to be tricky." I should mention resource set. SETI 100 MooWrapper 80 and avg work done is. Moowrapper 419000 SETI is 12200 Scheduling prio is Moowrapper 0.71 Seti 1.00 I'm not making sense of this either. since MooWrapper is alot higher RAC then SETI and SETI is alot lower RAC then SETI should ask for alot more work.... I should mention resource set. Post the Resource Share from Boinc of ALL your projects, just because you're only interested in GPU work doesn't mean the other projects resource share don't matter. Another thought. Your post at SETI Beta (which is what brought me here), showed your account with just one computer, running BOINC v7.0.52: Computers belonging to TRuEQ & TuVaLu I am sorry. It is 7.0.28 here But I ran .52 some days ago and the problem is the same. When I saw this in .52 I abandone it and started to run .28 again. Then I see that there is the same problem in .28 and it is a leftover from the start of 7.0.3 It is like creating something that takes 48hours but after 15mins you create a "malfunction" and compensates yet it still needs more compenstation the longer the process continues. I from a user perspective suspects that there is something created early in the making of the REC based work fetch priority. I feel terribly stupid not to mention I went back to .28 ID: 48083 · |
