I'll be wiping my disc and installing a new BIOS; will have to re-install all of my previous programs. How do I re-install Boinc and its associated tasks, Seti, Cosmology, etc., without losing my progress/settings?

Just backup your BOINC directories. On windows this is usually c:\Program Files\boinc and C:\ProgramData\boinc. Make sure to exit the BOINC Manager and Client before doing this.
