The query popped up again and looked here http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php which reveals nothing. Could a Domain controller line + whatever other Windows server versions this applies to] be added to this page... for instance we've been telling at WCG to revert to 5.10.45 [which does not try to create the special BOINC user accounts]. Sure there's hacks to get newer versions on, but we're not going to shy off server owners by proposing hacks. Coelum Non Animum Mutant, Qui Trans Mare Currunt |

The warning about Domain Controllers is at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Release_Notes#BOINC_7_incompatible_with_Domain_Controllers. As was BOINC v6. When are they going to get round to [trac]#652[/trac]? |

The warning about Domain Controllers is at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Release_Notes#BOINC_7_incompatible_with_Domain_Controllers. Was not asking for a warning, asked for a simple addition to the all download page. Dont expect anyone searching out BOINC software to look further in... the version will be grabbed and the nose will be bumped... Is that the desired introduction? Edit: BTW, Is the all_download page linking to the Release Notes, or are the release notes included in the installed package? Coelum Non Animum Mutant, Qui Trans Mare Currunt |

The warning about Domain Controllers is at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Release_Notes#BOINC_7_incompatible_with_Domain_Controllers. I had to read your missive 6 times before it was clear to me what you wanted. Maybe try plain English instead of that put on jet fighter pilot talk? No, you did not ask for an addition. You asked if an addition is possible and the obvious answer is "yes, it's only HTML, it can be revised by most anyone with the password". If you want an addition/revision then why not ask the people who have the password. You know who they are and you know they don't hang out here. |

Was not asking for a warning, asked for a simple addition to the all download page. The developers agree and will do so. |
