Hi everyone !

I have a Synology Server (DS211j) under the DSM OS.

I was wondering if there were any BOINC client to run on it ?
The CPU power is not so great, but my server runs 24/7 and I'd love to run SETI calculations on it.

Any idea ?
Cheers,
Cyril

Edit : CPU is a 1,2GHz (don't know the model) with DDR2 128Mo

Even if there were a BOINC client for it, you're not out of the woods yet. You'll also need a Seti application that's capable of running on that OS. And as far as I know, there aren't any.

Oh, ok... didn't know applications were OS dependant (thought the client was the only one to be OS/CPU dependant)

that's sad, there are so many private servers running, it would be a hudge calculation power!

thanks for the info anyway,
Cyril
