The UK closed all pubs, restaurants, theatres etc, per immediately. Belgium has closed its borders with The Netherlands, because we were still crossing them, mostly to go tank cheap there (50c per litre cheaper than in TN) |

Not quite. I've just come back from having my Last Supper in the barn. But I think they've closed now, and I left to a chorus of "See you on the other side" from the staff. |

Also if the cafe/restaurant provides take away/delivery only then they can still open. My small but very popular cafe across the road has set up a table in the doorway and are doing a "take away service" from there |

It strikes me that most of the measures announced so far have been designed with the needs of urban areas in mind. My village - population somewhat over 1,000, I think - has nothing like that. For 10 years, we didn't even have a shop (closed when the Post Office counter was pulled), but fortunately a small volunteer-run community shop opened last year. Selling mostly local produce, but essential basic foods as well, they will be able to stay open - and they already do simple takeaway snacks like soup and sandwiches as well. I think they're going to be very busy! |

Some people are nutz. My friend was on shopping in San Antonio Texas, market had signs limit 2 packages of meat all over. He saw a customer fill his cart with meat and tried to check out. Went on a cuss fulled rant throwing stuff when he was told no. Cops had to tase him four times. Unfortunately by then all that meat had hit the ground and couldn't be sold to anyone! There won't be any visits for him now and he will be in isolation hopefully for a lengthy time. |

Doesn't your meat come packed in plastic? |

I hope they throw the full law book at him, make him pay financial restoration to the retailer, publish his name all over the media ASAP and as part of his sentencing make him do 10000 hours of community service at a homeless shelters soup kitchen'. |

About nutz & panic. We all see a guy on the line of a supermarket with 50 bottles of alcohol in gel. Depleting the stock. Now i think, if all around him can't get any alcohol, they will be infected by the virus and infect him too! So his others 49 bottles of alcohol has no meaning! BTW I'm following drs. orders and apply a shoot of high % alcohol in the form of a moonshine! myself, one each 2 hrs. You all should follow this prescription. |

The coronavirus has arrived in the nursing home my mom lives in. Fingers crossed that it won't get to her. |

Doesn't your meat come packed in plastic? Several different types depending on the store. Some nothing more than a foam tray and saran warp, which will obviously tear easily. Others in much more indestructible heavy plastics. However there are likely ordinary health regulations that say anything that hits the floor must be tossed. After all everyone has tracked dog poop in all over the floor and it would be hard to open the pack without contamination. |

And if that's why you throw it away, because you can't get it open without contaminating, how do you get it home if you bought it? Do you know what the packaging all comes into contact with before you arrive at your fridge? |

This isn't good. Especially for those in the top picture. Coronavirus lockdown in Croatia's capital of Zagreb hampered by magnitude-5.3 earthquake |

Yes, it comes in contact with the hands of the stock person who presumably has a certified food handler's training and knows to wash their hands. No telling what customers do rummaging for one they like. Of course they wash the floor, but how often is often enough to put your food on? The floor is a non-food contact surface. Food must be kept on a shelf at least 6 inches above the floor. After all everyone has tracked dog poop in all over the floor and it would be hard to open the pack without contamination. The floors never get cleaned there either? UK: From this evening people must stay at home except for shopping for basic necessities, daily exercise, any medical need and travelling to and from essential work. Shops selling non-essential goods are being told to shut and gatherings in public of more than two people who do not live together are to be prohibited. Other premises including libraries, playgrounds and outdoor gyms, and places of worship must also close immediately. Parks will remain open for exercise but gatherings will be dispersed. The government is also stopping all social events, including weddings, baptisms and other ceremonies - but funerals will be allowed. Mr Johnson said the country faced a "moment of national emergency" and staying at home was necessary to protect the NHS and save lives. The Netherlands: group bans of more than two people. Only family members are allowed in close proximity. (Birthday) parties only allow 3 visitors. Stay 5 feet apart at all times. Stay at home. Can only go out for shopping or go to work, and only if you're in an essential job. Sounds like the aliens are about to land, doesn't it? |

Are we going to have the last outrage with the regular festivities tomorrow? I think the Covid-19 crisis is making S@H gone without any last party. |

If people can't go out, it's going to be harder to sell them new cars. So, branch out: Coronavirus: Carmakers answer pleas to make medical supplies |

Just a proposal: Why S@H don't make it's part on the Covid-19 crises and delay the end of new work for a couple of months, until the crises stops, that could help us to stay at home passing the quarantines. Just posted that on the main forums. |

It looks like this will be the 3rd week in a row without an outage, what will we complain about now? |
