http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/L/LT_MEXICO_EARTHQUAKE?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2017-09-19-16-50-20 MEXICO CITY (AP) -- A magnitude 7.1 earthquake rocked central Mexico on Tuesday, killing at least 44 people as buildings collapsed in plumes of dust and thousands fled into the streets in panic. I hope all crunchers and families are okay. |

I hope all crunchers and families are okay.Indeed. The volume of bad news, arising from the region and vicinities, feels remorseless. I extend my hopes for safe passage to all affected. |

If anyone had just watched me smash that plate... they would be convinced it was done on purpose. It wasn't - but for all the difference it made, as I lowered it to knee height at a 45 degree angle to stack in the cupboard, I may as well have turned slightly and said "Here floor... have it" and frisbeed it there. |

I suspect, because they don't stack themselves, no matter how long you wait. I earlier did the dishes and just did the drying off and storing, because it refused to do so itself, even though I waited for 3 hours between them. |

I've never been able to count sheep. I don't know why. They never seem to want to jump for a start, just mill around. they don't stack themselves, no matter how long you wait.I learn that the hard way... every time. And the longer I wait to learn it - the more likely something rotund and furry will again entertain the ludicrous notion of svelte balletic gazelle and render themselves airborne - in the shortest possible sense, but sufficiently long enough to collide with the kitchen blinds and bellyflop into/onto the draining rack. At that point ... physics takes over and nothing is safe Why do you store plates at knee height at 4:23 am in the morning?Because I don't entirely trust the cupboards above shoulder height will stay on the wall if I stack them there. |

Because I don't entirely trust the cupboards above shoulder height will stay on the wall if I stack them there.LOL. They do seem to be flimsier than they used to be. |
