Even server status is down... Not a good thing, especially on a Friday freaking night. Just sent the usual messages to Eric and Jeff................... |

I am thinking, if I had the money, the colo should be right here in the kitty crunching den. I seem to be about more than some of the admins..............LOL. No insult intended. |

I just confirmed upload and download activity on my daily driver within the last minute or so. So everything is not down just yet. But, these things have a history of cascading once they start. Hopefully not tonight. |

yep web site(s() down: http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/setiathome.berkeley.edu/ Somehow I already knew that, because my browser and my internet connection are rather stout. When I cannot reach Berkeley, and I can reach anywhere else, I pretty much know where the problem lies. Meow. |

But, it's allright, 'cuz it's not midnight. And I got Two more bottles of wine. I shall be OK, and you shall be too. Crunchers got hours more of work on tap for the GPUs, and if that runs out, I got many days of work left for the CPUs. Might take weeks to crunch that up. I got rather old CPUs on hand. |

And................ I am just waiting for the next pitiful rounds of complaining for the way 'the project is managed'. I shall probably just eject the contents of my stomach and keep my mouth shut at that point. When you try to manage a project of the immensity of Seti on a shoestring, and manage to keep it up as much as they do......... They have all of my respect indeed. The project has TWO admins as best I currently know. Eric and Jeff. They both have private lives to attend to as well as this project. There are no funds anybody has sent to add additional staff. Certainly nobody I am aware of has stepped up to that plate. And I would if I could, but I am not a man of infinite resources. So, get this clear. This project is running as best it can on the limited resources available to it. And if you wish to complain loudly, you best be able to stand up and contribute the money it shall take to change things. Otherwise, stand down and accept that this is not Google or Youtube and you cannot expect it to be up 24/7/365. Downtime is a part of the Seti experience. Meow. |

And................I believe the chief of that group is in a timezone where the sun don't shine (at the moment) And just who might you be referring to? Just asking. I am in a rather good mood right now, and would rather ask than accuse. I am assuming you are referring to the acuser, rather than the administrator. If not, you get my sincerest middle finger salute. |

Well, as the scheduling server, upload, and download servers all seem to be operational at this point, one would hope the hysteria will be minimal. |

Yes we can hope it's just the Berkeley web pages, and hope the splitters are still going strong. |
