We have deployed the cleaning crew early as we might get an overflow crowd due to the change from 32 bit to 64 bit tasks in the DB. If they miss a spot in the corner don't worry about the cobwebs.

I have installed the Tunneling Protocol add-on to the TSiDC, so if the overflow happens, we can harbor all.

I think a better solution might be to install a TARDIS inside the Seti cafe just in case we get stuck in here.

Seeing as it looks like the outage is back on it's normal time, thought pop in early ahead of the mad rush to grab some seats :-)

I'll leave that for others, I've brought along a "speedy" DVD - The record breaking run of the Mallard no 4468.

beginning to wonder if they are late because they are still planning how to do that install, or if the compile isn't going well?

Well, I hope they come back up without incident.
I believe this is a rather significant change, and I can see a bazillion places for it to get tangled up.
It could get nasty if things go badly.

Hope I am wrong and it turns out to be not as complex as I presume.

Well, I only have a bit before I have to get ready to suffer through my workday on the hottest day we have experienced in about a year.
Not going to be pretty.

Well, it is once the 2^32 + 1 task is issued that it really can go to hell in a hand basket. Compilers don't complain too much about integer overflows or truncations.

THE RESULTANT HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL APPROACH EXCESSIVE HEAT CRITERIA... CREATING DANGEROUS CONDITIONS FOR THOSE AT RISK OF HEAT-RELATED ILLNESS. THIS HEAT MAY IMPACT PARTICIPANTS AND SPECTATORS FOR THE SPECIAL OLYMPIC WORLD GAMES... ESPECIALLY IN VALLEY VENUES.

TL,

I don't understand...

We have two central AC units; one downstairs unit, and one upstairs unit. Both units are set to turn on at 78 F. Usually, the upstairs unit goes on first. As long as it does, and maintains 78 F upstairs the heat downstairs is manageable without needing to activate the downstairs unit. (Unless there is high humidity.) If there is humidity in the air, then the downstairs unit is turned on and we drop the AC to 77 downstairs.

Just got a call on my parents' phone. Automated call from Pacific Goons and Enigma, (Pacific Gas and Electric), stating that tomorrow is a "Power saving day", and to NOT turn on AC... SORRY, at the presumed 97 F that it will be tomorrow, the AC is going on ALL DAY...

NO WAY am I roasting and then having asthma trouble because PG&E wants us to curb usage. If they want us to REALLY curb usage, they should volunteer to put solar on our roofs!!!
