"The Seti Might Be Down Cafe"
Perhaps it's a bi-weekly thing now.

Naw, methinks it was a space time lag warp.

Yes... But for:

According to Einstein's theory of general relativity, massive objects warp the spacetime around them, and the effect a warp has on objects is what we call gravity. So, locally, spacetime is curved around every object with mass.

And

In physics, spacetime is any mathematical model that fuses the three dimensions of space and the one dimension of time into a single four-dimensional continuum. Spacetime diagrams can be used to visualize relativistic effects such as why different observers perceive where and when events occur differently.

Basically, a time warp is some phenomenon that changes the flow of time by speeding it up or making it run more slowly. Therefore a spacetime lag warp is double. E=mc² x mc² ?

spacetime is curved around every object with mass.

Does that make it Catholics' fault then?

On the upper left coast serious pondering has begun on the fate of next Tuesday. It is never to early to speculate.

I think there must be some sort of more generalised temporal dislocation. The past two weeks the weekend credit script at CPDN has run on Thursdays. Knowing which day of the week it is is getting really difficult.

Dave you submit more evidence of a space time lag warp.

We haven't had a shutdown in the past 13 days, right? I didn't miss a shutdown anywhere between now and then?

It is down, so therefore I assume, along with reminder to put out the rubbish before 07:30 Wednesday, it must be Tuesday.

My guess for the missing outage last Tuesday, is that they wanted to test if the system could stay up during the entire WOW event,
without any outage.

Maybe it can, but maybe not. It depends upon how many millions of tasks people have sitting on their computers crunched and ready to report,
when the event starts. And of course how many new computers that will be added before the events starts.

We'll see....

.....and how many semi-retired computers are brought out of their rest-homes to serve the cause once more.
