Very strange to be here on a Tuesday and find it so quiet, peaceful and the air so fresh, probably won't last unless Seti comes back soon. |

The question one needs to ask is is this a "new" lounge or a recycled one ;-0 |

Ah, my home away from home is back. And I didn't even have to log in. Edit: I think I killed an Asus router. Reset it and since I cannot find it on the network, all helper apps tell me the MAC address is invalid. Yep. |

The bots can now get to work, Seti is back up. I was a little fast there, it's now not reachable. That was at 20:00 But now (20:20ish) it is back with posts in Cafe, NC and politics. |

We are about 24 hours away from the weekly outrage... Time to warm up this thread, cool down the cafe and let the roomba bots out of there enclosures.🎆🎈 |

Are we going to warm up the grill early for the holiday on Thursday? |

Why not! Hamburger, hot dogs, potato chips, cold beer and some non-alcoholic beverages for those that don't or can't drink the golden beverage.😂🍔🍺 |

The BBQ is electric, it's warm in 3 minutes. No sweat. |

The smoker isn't and the couple dozen tri-tips, split chickens, and racks of ribs need that good smoke flavor. Mesquite or Apple wood? |

To have a *real Texas Style BBQ* it has to be Mesquite... I have some right here ready to use. |

Some of us don't chill our beer.I've just discovered that my hotel in Chicago next week has what it calls an English pub attached. But no mention of what temperature it sells the beer at. Or even what beer it sells, come to that. But with temperatures forecast to reach 87°F, I think I might be ready for a chilled beer. |

Actually will be drinking mead today. Made a batch that came out really well a couple of years ago. (I learned very early on with wine and mead making the truth of the old saying that it takes very little extra effort to make five gallons rather than one and it lasts almost twice as long.) :) |

(Or close to it.))Well, the people who offered the workshop venue presumably live close by and are accustomed to it. Provided I can still walk three blocks between air-conditioning units without falling over, I should be OK. Failing that, the $10 all-day pass for the water taxi service is looking increasingly attractive. |

Three blocks is nothing. Besides, you're going to be between all the tall concrete trees so there will be plenty of shade. It is getting hot/humid, but it isn't bad...yet.IF you are going to Chicago in Summer, it's NOT the raw 87F Temps you have to worry about, it's the HUMIDITY!!! (Could end up feeling like it's 100F!!! I'm sure the English pub is fine, but only those on the other side of the pond will be able to claim if it is authentic. Ready for the electric grill this morning... |
