May be multiple issues, then. Don't see a DNS issue here, as I'm consistently seeing:
5624	SETI@home	04/10/19 3:45:15 PM	update requested by user
5625	SETI@home	04/10/19 3:45:15 PM	Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
5626	SETI@home	04/10/19 3:45:15 PM	Reporting 21 completed tasks
5627	SETI@home	04/10/19 3:45:15 PM	Requesting new tasks for NVIDIA GPU
5628	SETI@home	04/10/19 3:45:17 PM	Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
5629	SETI@home	04/10/19 3:45:17 PM	Project is temporarily shut down for maintenance
with or without local DNS override via hosts.

[edit] Aaand we're back [/]

Yep, the thought of burning hair fixed it.

This last week has been fairly smooth for me, so methinks tomorrow's outage could be a doozy.

I see an Aricebo file has been put in the splitter. I hope I get some of those WUs. Its been a while since we've had Aricebo data.
02ap19aa - this month. I think they arrive automatically when recording has finished, whether we're ready for them or not.

. . Yes, they are automagically transmitted to Berkeley when they are ready (using a VPN internet connection I believe) and because they come in ones or twos they also get automatically prepared and mounted for splitting. So yep, here they come ready or not ...

. . The reason we seemed to have a lot of Arecibo work in recent times was all the old crumbs being swept up to clear the decks. Apparently they are all sorted now and we are back to whatever new work comes through the pipe.

. . But with another early start to the outage I'm betting it will be a longer than average outrage again.

Early shutdown this week. I'm hoping for a nice short (4 hours) shutdown. Things have gone well this week, and they have even fixed assimilation lag. There is also the added benefit of this weekend being Easter, so I think the machines would rather go foobar during that time anyway. They will easily be backed up today with no issues to lull the team into visions of egg hunting and chocolate overdoses, only to muck it all up with an unexpected outage.

Since things were not broken it is time to fix them.

I noticed these boards had their outage as well. Sorry I'm not much around, but there are many things happening in my life right now which cause me to be away from my home. Good things, only good things.

After last week's short outage we are being rewarded with something else. What's not to like?
