I'm supposed to be at a meditation group/class now - on how to. I've been to three and I can't. They've each turned into 90 minutes of a different kind of ghastly. During the second one - I somehow managed to reduce myself to consisting of a right knee and the opposite foot and nothing else ... apart from a near-pathological loathing of the voice that we were supposed to be listening to as our guide. For the last one I was at, I made an enormous success of choking suddenly and very thoroughly on fresh air and disrupt the whole group. I understand what you're saying. I first heard the term, "mindfulness" last year in reference to a meditation training seminar I went to on recommendation from a friend. I'm already pretty mindful and while I thought the meditation class would help me relax, it just made me edgy and want out of there! lol The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Ha. My three Android devices (one tablet, two phones) run Seti with a RAC of 555 (albeit that's diluted as the fourth device still showing RAC is no longer crunching due to a broken battery). But apparently a RAC of 500+ is possible, and that for less than 1 Kilowatt hour per week. The tablet and one of the phones are cooled by one 230mm Bitfenix fan connected to a Delock fan splitter with Molex in connector and a 12V AC adapter with Molex out connector. The fan splitter can be set to 5V and 12V, the 230mm fan can run at both, albeit slower of course at 5V. I run the fan only during the heat of the day, and disconnect the AC adapter at night. Really love the Bitfenix fans, as they have a lot of holes, so one will always fit to a case. Not that I am using a case here, not yet anyway. Been a bit dumb though as last week I threw out some protective foam that I could've used to clamp the Android devices into. Oh well. |

it just made me edgy and want out of thereYes... at a speed not yet invented by the universe. I know ;/ Been a bit dumb though as last week I threw out some protective foam that I could've used to clamp the Android devices into. Oh well.*gape in awe* that's really quite bright, Jord... knowing that you'd been that dumb I mean. My own experience of these sort of situations begins with me looking for it and then, when the entire house has been upended and it's nowhere to be found, wondering when I'd thrown it away. I had a three-month zone you see. It was where all the if-I've-not-found-a-use-for-this-fascinatingly-versatile-stuff-that-has-so-much-potential-for-usefulness-I-can't-even-begin-to-think-of-the-ways-but-if-I-still-can't-then...then-I'll-throw-it-away. It worked for ages until it didn't and the avalanches started. And the mass binnings. Anyway...I hope you're all having a nice weekend :) |

Ha Byron, good to see you're still in the land of the living communicators. Hope all is (relatively) well. :) Apart from high summer here with temps 27-32C (80.6-89.6F) - and as well for the next three weeks apparently - all is well here. |

I don't think he knows about this place. It's too dark under the bridge where he lives to see anywhere else. |

When I drifted into politics it had been to post something about that tower block fire in London last week, but instead, I found myself reading about MK :(( which made me completely forget to. Much later, when I couldn't sleep and everyone else around me could, I thought I'd try again, but first, did something I never meant to... *roll eyes into someone's drink and let them bob there* I opened a thread I think I'd posted to once upon a year ago or more, and, well... *drop head into plate of food* completely forgot to again... |
