A definite possibility give that Berkeley IT seems to want to schedule infrastructure maintenance on Sunday a lot. But no advance word of any scheduled work in the Seti site News section. I believe that you Richard have the URL for Berkeley's Internet Status somewhere.

There is a large gap in the exported stats at the Haveland site for when the servers were unreachable.

Looked for the status page. IST Service Status Nothing having anything to do with us.

Found this Cricket page of the servers and routers on campus. Network Operations and Services Network Utilization Graphs

I think we are on the Science DMZ inr-011-sut network utilization

There is a large gap in data in/out earlier today and then a big spike. I wonder if that is when we could connect again.

And I'm getting this from Beta.

Not on the science DMZ. Remember the machines are located at EWDC (Earl Warren Data Center). Our traffic isn't broken out of the Inr-201-sut and Inr-202-reccev, spine 1 and spine 2 routers to EWDC. Most, er all of the campus IT is at EWDC. They aren't showing the rack/cabinet level routers on the cricket graphs.

Appears ET is still playing havoc with the SETI database.
Been having intermittent problems accessing any of the SETI web pages last 3 to 4 hours.
Sometimes a page will load fine, Sometimes a page will partially load, Sometimes it will not load at all.

Hope it does not become a multi-day outage to try and fix.

Well, I got the home pages (after two hours), but then on to 'Establishing secure connection..' and 'Server took too long to respond'. Data transactions seem to be working OK, though.

I guess we have something to talk about on Tuesday, seeing how CPDN is having similar problems.

Yes, I wondered if the two might be connected.

I got a peek at the SSP about 30 minutes ago (possibly linked to trying by http, rather than https). We're low on tasks (below 300K), and creation rate is very low, but we might hold up until they get to the lab. If today is a working day in the USA?

The difference between loading https and http is negligent here. They both load, after one or more minutes.
But... didn't we do this a couple of years ago as well? I seem to remember quite vividly that the Seti forums would only quite slowly load or not load, everyone was here - or those that didn't dare were at Einstein - and that it was some holiday weekend as well. Too bad searching at Seti goes as slow as well, I don't have time to grey my beard any faster. Besides, have to go pick up my new 'old' CPU in a bit. :)
