Yahoo has been having trouble the past two days with it's email system.

The Rumor is Oath is going to kill it, Yahoo that is.

Well, my isp is bellsouth.net, aka ATT, and they use the Yahoo interface. What's going to happen to me?

Maybe they will sell it off like they did their landlines to Frontier so they can double the price.

Well, my land line, my internet, and my tv(via DirecTv) are all provided by AT&T. I just wonder how I will access my email if Yahoo gets out of the picture.

Sorry you are having trouble Gordon Lowe, I had some trouble with an order, Ontrac and Amazon, full refund issued for a package that grew legs, just some 500 caplets of 5000iu vitamin D3 and a blu ray disc of Amazing Spiderman, now I just have to wait. It's the 2nd time an Ontrac delivery has gone awol, Amazon was very helpful, Ontrac not so much.

I use gmail.com here, rr.com is also active here, but almost nothing uses the rr.com domain on My system.

Found an old 750Ti hiding in my dad's old computer. Hasn't been run in over year and half... Might need to salvage this thing....

You and several million others. Just about everybody has or had a yahoo e-mail account. But if Oath can't monitize them ... they aren't going to keep them.

My son has a yahoo mail account :/ I don't think he's noticed a problem, but that might just be because he's not checked it for awhile.

There's now a car in space. The Falcon test flight worked perfectly.

Something I forgot to mention about the Yahoo situation is as a Moderator of a Yahoo Groups forum on house rabbits, I've been unable to resolve a huge issue regarding uploading pictures, and tech support is virtually non-existent or not helpful.

Yes. Big Problems. A few groups for moderators. Last one seems to have the most traffic. Good Luck.

Looks like comms issues at Seti again. Don't think it is any DNS issue this time. Just very slow response from schedulers and the web host.

Yea, it appears to be a communication / web server issue. My web browser says SETI's web site is timing out trying to load.
DNS OK; ping & tracert shows it timing out.

Same time every night for a half hour between 11:25 PM and 12:00 AM (local), the project goes unreachable.

Same time every night for a half hour between 11:25 PM and 12:00 AM (local), the project goes unreachable.

At 07:14 UTC yesterday my log says server at SetiBeta unavailable and today at same time Seti server was unavailable. Both were available 5 minutes later.

Seti Main unreachable again on all hosts. Can't report work. Can't maintain caches. Either Error 500 or No tasks available or Project servers may be down messages in all logs. Glitch in the Haveland graphs occurring right now.

Just wait out the half hour or so before the schedulers and servers come out of their zombie state.

Backoff up to an hour now on some of my machines. Will have to babysit on them until the project is reachable so I can report the 200 or so tasks that have been processed since the project went unreachable.


.....And Main is back and reachable again. So tonight once again unreachable from 07:15 - 07:45 UTC.

Haveland graphs are showing start of new traces again.
