I demanded to know what had happened to "my stories" and got the following quote from 'Ol Pookers:

"The re-org is taking longer than expected because the result table is bigger than normal, secondary to last week's outages."

I have no idea what any of this means, but you have it straight from the raccoon's mouth.

Can they catch those peanuts in the air with their hands?

No. I generally try to throw the peanuts in front of them.

How is their frontal vision? I know with rabbits, they kind of have a blind spot right in front of them, so they don't really see me if their nose is facing mine. They have great peripheral vision, though.

Raccoon eyes, like the eyes of many predators - ourselves included, are more in the front of their faces than to the sides.

Animals that are typically prey animals (such as rabbits) are more likely to have eyes to the sides of their head, so they can see potential predators sneaking up on them.

It is so nice to see so much activity here. We have two new posters and another that has come back after a several year absence.

But better we have a pipeline to the raccoon's mouth.

Good points. Looking at your friends, I can see that now. If my bunnies want to stare me down, they have to give me an askance look.

Having been awake for over an hour already, I was pleasantly entertained by the raccoon. Bis bis!

And welcome, newcomers. Hope you come more. :)

10:20 am local time. I've finished unpacking most of the moving boxes, installed the Christmas tree, washed some dishes. Seti is still down.

I'm going to hunt for coax cables and power strips and then home. Parking is hell outside the nursing home at any time between 8:30 and 16:00 anyway, so I'll go back there at 16:30

Seti is still down.

My backup projects are getting a bit more than normal amount of run time recently.
If my backup projects start to fall over under the extra load I may have to resort to my secondary backup projects.
