Well, they can take their time and get things right. No hurry, my GPU got a Genifer 22 task from PrimeGrid this morning. It's going to be occupied for the next 80 hours. ![]() |

Maybe someone's heard about our liquid Helium powered tomato cannon.... |

Hmmm... I'd presumed the canning process was a little more automated than that... ;) Support for bullfighting is dropping rapidly in Spain. Only 19% now do, so YAY! The younger generations teaching older ones different ways of thinking is always so cool! :) It would be a bit unfair if, say... Britain popped into someone's head, and that head immediately thinking rolling cheese uphill (or is it down - whichever way it's now banned I think) would be a break from child abuse. Oh. That got a bit dark a bit fast :/ Apologies everyone :) I'll shut up now, sort of :) [important things list]watch killer tomatoes film; buy helium tomato cannon [/important things list] edited for text-shrinking purposes and again to express doubts about what cheese has to do with anything, other than it goes nicely with tomatoes when they're toasted... you know... together... |

Also goes well with Branston or onions :-)It's funny the things people told me I would love when I came to the UK :) Branston was one. Y-e-e-e-e-s. I remember thinking how remarkable it was that you could take a whole load of vegetables and make them look like nothing on earth that you would normally put in your mouth. Take pork scratchings for example. How many people, on their first dip into a packet offered by an enthusiastic local - manage to select a bristly nipple? I did eat it ... I'd rather I hadn't on both taste and texture grounds, but I'm glad I did, because I know I won't ever again :) |

Morning Annie.Yes there was one but it's gone now. Still... a handy hint not to be sniffed at... ;) But it has to be said that the UK is as bad in some respectsWell... in all the places I've lived, I've never once come across what I came across last week :( I thought at first it was two ridiculously large bumble bees having a fight about who should be on a flower, which I've also never seen before, but it wasn't. Someone had put superglue on them :(( I don't know if that is what caused them to swell, or the fact they'd got stuck together and in their distress they'd stung one another into mutual enormity, but I almost lost faith in us entirely at that point :[ I always check scratchings for any "odd bits" never had any yet. I do like them with a beer, but I try not to think of where they came from.Like - anything a pig managed to scratch while it could scratch, including on posts, went into a bag to be enjoyed with a beer you mean? I think I'd think about it, and that it was a good idea. When I used to eat dead animals, I was of the view that as it was the whole animal that died, I should be prepared to eat the whole animal. Not all in one sitting obviously. I would just want to know where on the animal I would point to - so my brain knew what it was letting my mouth tuck into - beforehand. That's the advantage to eating insects - all in one go, and nothing wasted :) Some of the worst sci films in cinema history beggar belief.I'm planning the killer tomatoes back to back now I know there's a sequel :) There are some films that are so so bad, that that alone makes them very very good. I can't think of a single one at the moment though. Some of them from the B&W 40's have actors obviously wearing cardboard costumes sprayed silver trying to be robots. Makes you wonder why they bothered. They could be bothered because audience expectations allowed them to do so. When we remade the Wicker Man on video for my son's birthday some years ago - I landed my cardboard box on the carpet. The advantage to doing that, is that it then doubled as a boat. One thing you didn't get in those forties films was someone trying to film their own close-up for the big finale whilst clutching some twigs in front of their face and having the dog run off with them. edit: if I remember, I was doing some dramatic wailing at the time. To him - it must have looked like I needed help ... |

Sometimes the tables are turned. I was 'befriended' (or seen as lunch) at Montmatre... ![]() |
