Now that you mention it, I can't remember the last time I received a notification.

Maybe I need to make a 'questionable' post to see if I get a moderator mail (I miss Bernie) :))

Yeah, still nada here. Didn't seem like there was much traffic here during the outage today, either.

What's the suffix of the email address you use (the part after the @)?
And have you checked in the spam filter?

Comcast.net, and no spam filtering enabled with them as theirs is useless.

Is main down? For the past 30 minutes, every time I try, I get "this page cannot be displayed". Net access is normal.

Probably issues with their database again. Can't see it coming back online now until the outage is over.

You're lucky to be able to get the SSP page to load up to see their splitting AP's , all i get is " connection probems" not even " seti is down " usual tuesday page but like Bernie said work seams to be uploading / downloading ok here .
My prefs are set for AP and if none acept MB but not that botherd if i get any or not ( only credit hunters are that concerned ;-) ) as long as work keeps flowing i'm able to like happily without the website for a few hours / days however long it takes them to sort the problem out .
If it all stops flowing save a few £'s on electric use :-)

I can't see the SSP either, I just know because 2 fresh splits showed up on my AMD CPU. That will keep it busy for about 7 days, LOL.

If so I'll be at Einstein :-)

That's your choice mate personaly I'm happy enough to wait for seti to come back online .
Ain't crunched Einstein in years and ain't really " interested " over there apart from i get told people post one thing on those boards and contradictory statement on the seti boards , have even seein it with my own eyes so know it ain't " gossip " .
Not saying any names but i know who i mean ;-)

With working from home with welders / compressors etc running I'm happy to save a few quid if it's possible but that's my choice and " Each to their own " as the saying goes :-) .

:-) must be nice to have the " free time " to sit around watching your machines , i had to get some " proper " work done to earn the pennies and didn't fancy having ANOTHER argument with meself today , had one yesterday and lost ;-) hehe

Ah well you see, you need to have a third party as an ajudicator. I find that a cat does very well there in that role

No good here Chris , May's to easily bribed with kitty treeals specialy the co op fishy flavored " stick " ones ;-) , 9 times outa 10 i just tell meself " bolloc#s " and get on with the work , been like this for just over two years and seams to be working ok for me ;-)

Today I had three new tyres fitted to the car (expensive!)

3 tires ??? was it 1 set and the spare coz if it was say both new fronts and 1 rear , that's a bit dangerous specialy if with this " good " weather we get a downpour as usualy happens could loose traction and control very easily / quickly and don't want you or anyone ending up in a accident or going through what i've been through these last 7 years , and being serious there :-)

I rotate my tires and replace them 4 at a time. I want even handling characteristics on all 4 corners.

Message 77944 - Posted: 16 May 2017, 17:56:40 UTC - in response to Message 77942.

The practice of diagonal wheel changing to even out tyre wear went out of fashion in the 70/80's in the UK.
as it did over here. Since all of my tires, not tyres, have directional treads that would be very expensive anyway due to the cost of remounting the tires on the rims.
With modern cars with independent suspension wheel changing simply isn't necessary.

Then why did you get uneven tyre wear?
