I've got one of them £5's that have a printing mistake on it ( serial no starts A09) i don't care how much people think they are worth , i'm going to keep the note safe with a few coins , notes and stamps i've had since i was a kid , It's a "new fiver" and it's made of plastic and it's smaller ( wow you can see thro a bit of it !!!) and it's worth £5 , bit sad if you ask me people buying em on Ebay for stupid money .

Just came across this story in the Daily Mail , things are just getting sillier :-)

A prankster listed a new fiver on eBay as a 'a rare upside down note' and sparked a bidding war that has hit £65,551 so far

I've got a few of these upside down fivers ( every one !! ) but can't seem to find the Department of Upside-down Printed English Denominations' (DUPED) ;-) hehe (

Makes you wonder about some people

Here's a link to the full story

A bit earlier than normal does that mean it'll be back sooner?

Not really early. Almost 9AM Berk time. I've seen Jeff start it way earlier than this once in a while.
As to how soon back? All depends on if Murphy is hanging about, or if any 'extra activities' are planned for the outage. Hopefully not another raid failure today.

Indeed they did.
Well, off to another long workday in about twenty minutes.
Hope you all have a fine one, and may I find everything back in order when I return in the wee hours of the morn.

Meow again.

Does anyone have a rough idea what the cost should be to get the back seating area of a saloon-sized car thoroughly cleaned?

And if there is any significant drying time for steam-cleaned upholstery?

edit: oh... I didn't see "scintillating" ... that *point up there* up there... isn't. Just thought I'd mention it in case someone thought I thought it was :)

Depends on what the mess is , sh#t & puke a lot more to clean than mud , look around prices vary to where you live in the country . Anything from £25 - £150 around here

I'm expecting expensive, y-e-e-s and at London prices (fortunately east, not west end) too. And lost earnings will be added as well :/

edit: it's not so much that I intend to quibble about the bill when I get it. More along the lines of whether I'll continue to give the firm my business afterwards really

It's a shame you left off the n because what followed was: ot to ... which now doesn't make sense. And after that there was supposed to be: Hello everyone :) ... but the end got eaten by the cursor, including the bbcode so there wasn't space because I'd run out of it by then. Which was almost... prophetic.

:)
