CPDN main project

CPDN BOINC webpages are down and the server doesn't appear to be accepting trickles. At the moment we don't know the reason.

The science website is still available for anyone wanting a good weekend read, but it is separate from the CPDN BOINC pages.

CPDN main project

The CPDN BOINC webpages are back up and trickles are being accepted again.

Jonathan says the 403 access forbidden problem was caused by a failure to mount the project's NFS partitions after an unexpected reboot at 0300 UTC yesterday:

The servers running on our VM infrastructure seem to have rebooted at 4 am BST on 22 Sept.

The main webserver failed to re-mount its NFS partitions, upon which the website resides.

This is now fixed, and I am making investigations.

Asteroids@Home update

According the most recent post, early on Sep 23, on their twitter account (https://twitter.com/AsteroidsAtHome) the disks were incompatible between the old and new machines so they're transferring the data via RSYNC and making some changes so that the new server can run BOINC as soon as possible.

Currently (Late Tuesday night in the eastern US), The apache server is running but it just says
Not Found

The requested URL /boinc/ was not found on this server.

The Pirates server crashed earlier today and Eric hasn't been able to get it back up yet. Emailing Eric isn't helping either, as his email's out. But he has promised me that he'll take a look at it as soon as possible. :-)

Edit: It's back up already.
