I'm trying to use gpugrid and lhc@home on 64-bit linux. So far I have tried both debian and arch linux flavors and the boincmgr GUI freezes immediately after connecting to the client. Either app works fine when it's the only app running, but if I try to use boincmgr to connect to the boinc_client, it just hangs without any error messages or anything. This happens in both the stable and alpha client/managers. Is there a text file I can edit somewhere to attach myself to a project and set execution caps and such? Or am I forced to troubleshoot this GUI issue just so I can open it for 2 minutes and edit the settings?

Use the boinccmd (BOINC command) tool instead of BOINC Manager. See http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Boinccmd_tool for its control options.

Doh! That was painfully obvious yet eluded me somehow. Got everything working now thanks.
