Hi! This is my first post in this board.
I published new project on GitHub https://github.com/matszpk/native-boinc-for-android. This is fully fledged native BOINC client for Android and Boinc manager based on AndroBOINC.
I prepared applications for MilkyWay@Home, Primegrid and Enigma@Home (Polish project). Warning: this version can produce WRONG results and should be used for testing.

I really encourage to testing it.

I downloaded it and am currently using it on an HTC EVO 3D. Version 0.3.5.1 crashed on the device, so I tested version 0.3.5 which worked great. I updated to version 0.3.6 and it is currently working great on the phone. Started using PrimeGrid application but it would take a lot of time (almost 120 hours per workunit), so I now switched to Milkyway@Home which is running and each workunit lasts almost 14 hours which is a lot shorter than the PrimeGrid app.

Nice project by the way.

Thank you! I am currently refining main BOINC manager (fixing bugs and adding small useful features). I want to publish these app in Google Play (likely in April)!

Happy crunching and testing!

Just crunshed some Milkyway@home tasks. So far no problems, and the results are all valid!

Love the application so far

Keep up the good work! Looking forward to see the app in the market!

Thank you for testing my application.
I am currently working over optimizations for CPU's with NEON for Primegrid application. New version can be 2.5x faster than previous on the modern NEON CPU's with 128-bit wide units (such as Qualcomm).

Today new version of Primegrid GCWSieve has been released. This version should be 2.3x faster on the modern ARM CPU with NEON extensions. I encourage to update and testing.

http://krzyszp.info has been hacked, can someone from B@P please take care about it?

I crunched my first PG btw, they went fine, currently I'm trying Milky, no probs so far. I'd like to have a WUProp app, is it something AF has to take care of or does B@P do the compilations?

Hacking alarm is over, Krzyszp has reacted and reclaimed his site.

Hey everyone

Bad news,
My EVO 3D died a few days ago. This has nothing to do with NativeBOINC since I was not using it at the moment this happened. Just wanted to say that I will not be able to crunch using this app until I get a new cellphone...

Once I get the new cellphone I'll start crunching some Milkyway@Home tasks again.

This is a very nice application and I've been using it since the day this post was posted, and I'm really impressed with it. Keep the good work!

Just installed nativeBonic - Running Milkyway on Android 2.3 armv6 processor at 600mhz (Huawei U8350-3 Wind Mobile Canada). According to client will take 238 hours - I am interested to see if the results will be valid :) Excited to see a working Android port for Boinc - Awesome work!

Your hardware likely dont have FPU (this is reason why you have very long estimated WU time). Ofcourse you can crunch in your hardware MW workunits. This version have special optimization for CPU's, whose doesnt have FPU. Currently I resign with support for these devices (too sophisticated optimization in assembly should be made to implement).
You can check whether your hardware have FPU by looking up on the messages (can be visible "Processor features: ... vfp".
Thanks.

How is the publishing in Google play coming along? Would be really great, since it could reach a much bigger audience, and it would be a lot easier to update the app.

Hello,

I also installed the native boinc on my HTC One X, but it doesn't work with primegrid.

I got the following errors:

"Message from server: Your app_info.xml file doesn't have a usable version of PPS (LLR)."

I get this also for The Riesel Problem, Sophie Germain etc.

MilkyWay works!

What is the problem?

By the way: Great Job!

best regards,
geko

NativeBOINC supports only GCWsieve (Cullen-Woodall Search app) for Primegrid. Currently I am working on the next Primegrid app (sr2sieve).
