All of this is a lie, I now have 34.7 gig left, but even after restarting BOINC i'm still getting the above.

BOINC also isn't autodialing connection to the web like i've set it to do either...

If you go to "your account" then "general preferences" you see these preferences(these are a copy of mine):

Disk and memory usage
Use no more than 400 GB disk space
Leave at least
(Values smaller than 0.001 are ignored) .25 GB disk space free
Use no more than 85% of total disk space
Write to disk at most every 600 seconds
Use no more than 100% of total virtual memory

Boinc will use no more than it needs. These setting are really relics of a distant past when disk space was limited (I.E 2 gig drives, or mp3 servers LOL). I don't own a 400 GB drive, so basically the above setting says "use all you want, but leave me .25 GB free)

you should check yours.

After changing preferences on the web you'll need to contact that site with your client for changes to take effect. Click "projects" tab, then highlight the project where you just changed the settings, and then click "update" button on left side.

hope this helps

aha, i see,

you can't see the entire error message in boinc, it doesn't wrap...
i've changed the maximum disc usage to 5gig. pretty generous still and things are rolling again... it was set to 100gig, but my drives only come to 80 gig so i'm not sure why i didn't get errors from day 1.

still, i hope what it's doing is useful none-the-less!

yeh, you're quite right, it was the offline/remote-computer settings that weren't set properly.

thanks for that
