Hello, I'm experiencing problems with a BOINC installation on a linux system. I just installed boinc-client from the Alioth debian package, and it worked fine for a few minutes (~15) and then crashed with the message /usr/bin/boinc_client[0x8087687] in stderrdea.txt . Replacing the binaries did not help, so I deleted all files in the working directory except client_state.xml - after that it worked fine again for some more minutes, then crashed again. If I try to restart boinc-client after a crash it begins processing workunits and crashes immediately. The last entries in the stdoutdae.txt are: The first time 2006-03-24 18:06:34 [climateprediction.net] Sending scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi The second time (after the deletion of all files) 2006-03-24 19:38:43 [LHC@home] Sending scheduler request to http://lhcathome-sched1.cern.ch/scheduler/cgi The message in stderrdae.txt is always the same. Some information about BOINC and the system: 2006-03-24 19:05:44 [---] Starting BOINC client version 5.2.5 for i686-pc-linux-gnu Linux 2.4.20-021stab028.17.777-enterprise #1 SMP Tue Jul 19 19:31:27 MSD 2005 i686 GNU/Linux The whole thing is a virtual machine in a virtuozzo environment, and currently there is not that much main memory left (some applications crashed due to lack of space, but I don't think the problems are related). Any ideas? If you need more information please tell me! Thanks, Jan Alsenz |
