WCG forums seem to have died even though the server move was not supposed to have hit them. I get a basic place holder main page with error messages dotted around it in several locations. I get permission errors when I try the forums. Not hugely surprised by this as they are doing major server moves and upgrades for several more hours.

Spinhenge, which announced toward the end of September that they were going to pause for about three months, has yet to restart. Their home page and server status pages remain online, but over a week ago, their message board server went offline. Because of this, the only informational updates are those that the project can add to the home page. It isn't clear at this point if their message board server will be brought back online (the last information on the home page last updated on January 11 indicated they were aware that the message server was offline and they were working on it), nor at this point whether or not (let alone when) the project will be restarted.

We stopped sending CUDA tasks on this test project for the time being. We like to focus on getting the OpenCL app ready for production release and have gathered enough CUDA results. We'll reenable the CUDA apps again as needed - we don't want to burn GPU cycles without a reason, right...

Spinhenge status has not changed in the past two weeks plus -- still no message board, and no further update on their home page since January 11. I got a private email from one of the Spinhenge team indicating they were working on things but that they restart was delayed as the changes noted back in September as resulting in a 3 month pause (now a four month pause) were/are more complex than they anticipated.

So there is no estimate of when the project will be generating new work, nor, apparently no estimate of what/when they will have a means to pass messages back and forth.

POEM is offline -- has been for the past few hours (since about 8AM PST).

Spinhenge posted a status update -- though without a schedule of when they will have new work (originally they had suggested early January, but the update leaves the implication that new work may well be months away simply by restating plans first indicated in September).

MW is coping with a change in their application which requires a lot of user (and project) juggling with the multiple variables of their application change, versions of BOINC manager, versions of the user operating system, versions of AMD Catalyst software, etc.).

All three of these projects are in something of a learning process -- of making changes which interact with multiple variables outside the project.

Seti:

We hit a storage limitation in our science database. Everything is okay but we will remain down, at least overnight, to run various tests.

SETI is back in working order, but competition for WUs will be intense.

Moo went offline this morning -- perhaps transferring back to a replaced primary hard drive.

Surveil@home has been down for maintenance for over a week now. Since we can't ask questions there is there someone out there who can tell us the truth. Is this project even viable any more? Should we delete all the projects that are waiting or what? Sometimes we volunteers feel used and abuse as we get very little info about the project and the true nature of what is going on. I don't mind volunteering, but would like to be treated as a human not a computer.

Thanks for listening.

Moo went offline again early this morning (about 3AM PST) -- no access since then (running on 9 hours offline so far).

SETI recovered from the last one, but has another coming up.

Monday Morning Outage
The entire lab is undergoing some electrical power tests on the morning of Monday, March 5th. All SETI web sites and servers will be unreachable for 2 hours (from 8am to 10am, Pacific Time).

(come to think of it, this probably affects BOINC as well)

Yes, it does. The whole BOINC domain will be out for the duration of that time as well; 8.00am - 10.00am Californian time is 16.00-18.00 UTC.

It would appear GPUgrid has gone offline. I can't get scheduler requests, uploads or the web site to come up. Tried a couple of machines and an iPad.

Their web site is back and no mention of going off. Haven't check BOINC yet, but expect its working too.
