GPU CUDA work doesn't auto suspend when computer is in use. The CPU jobs all do auto suspend properly.

I've noticed this behavior when I tried CUDA when it first came out. I stopped using it until just recently and see the problem is still there.

What the "Use GPU while computer is in use" option set to? Then there is also the scheduling setting in the activity menu... run always, run per prefs, suspend GPU.

Plus when you're running Windows, the question whether or not boinctray.exe is running. That's the idle detection program in Windows 7 and Vista.

I also have serious problems using Cuda tech my PC Win7 x64 reboots automatically when Boinc attached to seti@home is trying to execute fermi packages! Any ideas? Does anyone else have this behaviour? TIA

First guess - inadequate power supply. But ask this sort of question in the SETI@home Number Crunching forum - there are hardware guys there who can follow up (and the board is up again now - there were problems earlier).

"Use GPU while computer is in use" is unchecked.

The scheduling setting in the activity menu is set to run per prefs.

boinctray.exe is running

I'm having the same problem: when new project is attached (Einstein@Home), first everything works nicely (settings: no GPU/CPU while computer is active), BOINC respects it, but after half a day and few completed tasks, GPU calculation won't stop even after computer becomes active: GPU computation continues all the time. Computation continues even if I force "suspend GPU" from settings.

I ended up aborting all GPU tasks for now. :(
