I run Seti, but I wanted a backup project to run in case Seti every ran dry so I installed Einstien. I set it to 23:1 Seti:Einstien, figuring I would give Einstien an hours worth of work a day but when I increase the cache size, it appears to be downloading too much work for Einstien to finish on the deadline only getting an hour a day. Truxoft's current release candidate for a calibrated client does not have the project cache size adjustment so I was wondering if there is some other way to do it with the current application. Thanks. |

That's a bug. The "powers that be" are not shure (I think) if it's task of the client to ask for the right amount of work or if the server has to adjust the demand. For now you'll have to kill what's too much or else you'll always have alternating too much work for Einstein and EDF and then a long period of no work for Einstein (because of its neg. LTD). If you "adjust manually" everything is ok for some time (if the cache for Einstein needs to be refilled with 10 seconds of work it asks for 240 seconds and gets 1 WU). Norbert |
