Am I the only one that cannot download tasks today from Milkyway and LHC, even though both sites indicate servers up and tasks available for download?

Version 6.12.34 x64 with BoincTasks 1.16.

I was in a hurry when I posted this morning. Anyway, SETI, Einstein, and Cosmology projects are A-OK for my setup, no comm problems. So I was wondering if there is some strange preference setting I need to make to get tasks to download from Milkyway and LHC? Unfortunately there is a minimum credit limit that keeps me from posting on the Milkyway number-crunching board for help, so I thought I would try this board. Anybody have any ideas?

Maybe you were using a 3rd party app for MW...I would detach from MW completely and then re-attach to see if it helps.

Tried the detach, add project again for Milkyway, and something just is not right, I think. These are the messages when the project was added anew:

21-Oct-11 08:53:52 Fetching configuration file from http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/get_project_config.php

Then I got deferred for 00:01:32, and again for ~00:02:00, then finally deferred for 24:00:00! When I do a manual update, I get this:

Milkyway@home 21-Oct-11 09:00:28 update requested by user
Milkyway@home 21-Oct-11 09:00:32 Fetching scheduler list

at which point I get kicked on down the road (deferred) for another 24 hrs, when the site says servers are up with 2800+ tasks available for download. This makes no sense to me.

Pretty much the same thing happens with LHC/sixpack, that site's servers are up with 63,000+ tasks ready for download. Meanwhile, SETI, Einstein, and Cosmology keep cranking away happily. What am I doing wrong?

Could be a corrupt account_*.xml file.
Could be a corruption on the disk for where these files are written to.
In any case, try a chkdsk with all options on.

I have no problems uploading to LHC 1.0

How do you "attach" a computer after the project has been added, using BOINC Manager? I didn't have to do this for SETI, Einstein, or Cosmology. I must be missing something really simple here...

OK, I tried that several times but to no avail.

Thanks to you all for your help and suggestions, perhaps I'll replace those 2 projects with something else that works.
