Hello there, I have found in the Garbage !! a Pentium 4 2.5 Ghz... Working !!! the case was destroyed but everything was fine ! I am going to install Red Hat 9 on there but I was wondering would it be possible to run multiple Boinc client at once un a single computer ?? Basicaly, I DO NOT NEED this computer and I want to dedicate it to BOINC... But I also don't want to waste 99% of the CPU Power !! because the Boinc client does not require much CPU power !! I already have 3 other computers working for Boinc: 1: Toshiba Laptop 2Ghz (Win XP) 2: Pentium 4 3Ghz (Win XP) 3: Compaq server dual processors 400Mhz (Linux) 4: This new one (Linux) Everything is controlled via BoincView 1.02 using Gui RPC. Thanks for your help Patrick Dumais ve2rf@ve2rf.com Red Deer, ALberta Canada |

No, only one science app per logical CPU... and one BOINC client per computer. However, you won't be wasting any CPU power, as in the absence of anything else to compete, or cause it to "throttle down", BOINC will get (and use) somewhere around 99%. |
