Ubuntu 11.04 Natty with Google Chrome browser.

I've set the BROWSER= environment statement in the /etc/profile file, but I cannot get the manager to spawn a browser session.

I don't know where else to look for clues. Can someone here help me with this? Everything else works fine. Updates are happening on schedule. I just can't seem to get the manager to start the browser.

Thanks!

See this FAQ, which should have all the correct steps.

I did exactly that, but it still doesn't work. I see a brief message in the lower bar on the manager about opening browser, but then nothing happens. Every other app on the computer that spawns a browser session works correctly.

Any ideas?
