Hi,
im using a macpro with a Radeon HD6870 gpu in windows booting via bootcamp boinc sees the gpu and uses it but if i run boinc on the mac using osx lion it says no compatible gpus found? does osx support opencl or is this a problem with boinc on the mac?

There are open CL apps in development but I can't say where.

I've got 0 experience with mac but in linux boinc has to be started from within X to recognise the gpu, ie. not run as a deamon/service. Don't know if this helps you any.

That may be true for some distros but not all. On Fedora I run BOINC as a daemon on the boinc account and it sees and uses my NVIDIA gpu just fine. Tips on how to do that start with this post. Ubuntu users running BOINC as a daemon can refer to this thread.

Sorry for interrupting the thread but I felt compelled to make that correction. OK, back to the Mac discussion.
