I am asing BOINC 6.10.58 on Win 7 and I have an issue where BOINC uses 100% CPU and does not detect any activity such as moving the mouse or typing. I have unchecked the 'Use CPU while in use' on the preferences. I have read that boinctray.exe is supposed to monitor kb and mouse usage and that program IS running. Right now I have to manually snooze BOINC so my CPU fans aren't running full speed while I am trying to work at my desk. Any suggestions?

Is BOINC's activity set to "Run always" or to "Run based on preferences"?

Are you using local or online preferences?

Thank You! That worked.

I have seen several other posts about BOINC using too much CPU and never saw this solution. How simple, and it was right in front of me.
