I keep getting a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error window popping up. "Runtime error! Program: J:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects... This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application support team for more information." Any ideas on how to clear this error? Thanks. |

Program: J:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects... You've cut off a bit too early ;-) Which project was it? You should also ask at their forum. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) ![]() |

ive been getting this error message a lot lately too on various machines running either xp or windows 7. started happening after some windows updates and boinc client updates so im not really sure which, or if both, is causing this. at work today im starting to see it on some 2003 servers. im running boinc client 6.12.26 on all the machines except the 2003 servers. those are running version 6.10.18 and 6.10.58. the op's error message: Runtime error! is the same i get. its not cut short. that is actually the entire message so its hard to determine which project is causing the error (if this is in fact a project specific error). of all the projects im running, the one common project on all the boxes generating this error seems to be ufluids. cant say that definitely but its looking more like it. looked at ufluids message boards and no posts regarding this issue. |

You can check in your Windows Event Viewer which application is causing this. Start->Administrative Tools->Event Viewer, either Custom or Windows logs. Has anyone had a Windows Update in for Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable?? You can check that at Control Panel\System and Security\Windows Update\View update history (in Win Vista and 7). |

I keep getting a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error window popping up. One of my 5 PCs has recently started doing this as well. It is a Windoze 7 64 bit, Q9650 + GTX570 based system and the error windows point to Climateprediction.net applications. I ALWAYS get 2 error windows, never any more and never any less. My other 4 PCs all run XP 32bit, Q9550 or E6600 processors, GTX560 or GTX470 GPUs and Climateprediction.net but they run without errors. It's got me puzzled! ![]() |

I started getting this message a couple of days ago as well. I removed Climateprediction.net from my list of projects and the error has gone away. It appears that the tacks form Climateprediction.net were causing this error. |

I keep getting a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error window popping up. Would you believe it. Over a year later, after installing the uninstalling the nVidia Endless City Demo the problem has re-appeared on the same PC. ![]() |
