paul,

You may safely ignore the "exited with zero status but no 'finished' file" message - it seems to be an artifact from early BOINCing, now irrelevant. By all means, do post for help on the messageboards before resetting or detaching - those two options should be emergency-only last-resort things.

Regards,

Michael

thanks for that
thought it wasnt a problem as nothing seemed wrong
but had to be sure lots of time and projects would have been wasted if it was a problem

My experience with this message lead me to believe that you have a program that's not behaving properly. In my case it was a P2P program that would crash and make my entire system sluggish. That was on a Win98SE machine.

just found this on the cpdn message board
* Windows 'time sync' messages have been mentioned recently as causing 'process exited with zero status' crashes. Although these are relatively benign, it may be worth trying to reduce their frequency.
might have been my problem

time sync now disabled
