Hello, I'm new here sorry if this has been asked before (I tried search) I may have an opportunity to run boinc client on a 32-cpu powerPC system, however it's completely isolated from Internet access. Is there any way to configure boinc for a "snicker net" mode? I could download work units on another machine and transfer them via CD, then transfer the results back. Would this make a good work horse: 2006-03-05 13:34:14 [---] Benchmark results: 2006-03-05 13:34:14 [---] Number of CPUs: 32 2006-03-05 13:34:14 [---] 664 double precision MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU 2006-03-05 13:34:14 [---] 1990 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU |

Sneaker netting is problematic with BOINC. You may be able to get it to work by copying the entire BOINC directory from a similar machine that has a connection. However the work may be automatically invalid since it was crunched by a different machine than the one used to download it. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |
