Hello, Everyone!
I am desperately in need of an idea for a statistics Masters thesis. I am looking for a statistical issue regarding SETI. Would welcome any suggestions from SETI@home community.

you could always look at retention rates for users

or look at how users individually and in general change over time:
work unit rates
how, when and why more computers are added and removed, upgraded, optimized applications used, GPU added/removed, most common problems new/established users have, when and why donations are made if any

are there particular dates or times that see peaks or troughs in anything

just a couple of ideas

Asking about this on the SETI forums may get you a lot more help.

Hello!
Thanks for taking the time to respond. I wanted to do my Master's on some aspect of SETI, SETI-related issue, or communication with extraterrestrials. I did not have the website or SETI@home itself in mind. There has not been much response as you can see, so I deeply appreciate taking the time to respond to my query. I would certainly welcome any suggestions. Thank you!
Regards,
Tom

One way of looking at this site is that it's a blacksmiths, whereas SETI is a modern day American mall.

To meet lots of people with varied interests (and opinions), you're better off going to the mall, rather than the blacksmiths.
People mostly come to this website to ask about a problem with BOINC, and most don't look at all of the posts here; they just post about their own problem.
