A few months ago I read a ost by Ageless(I think) at the einstein@home forums.
He said that it was possible to run more than a task per core. How do I do that?

For testing purposes, it is possible to convince the client to simulate (and behave) as if the machine had a different number of CPUs. The crunching efficiency is then far from desired, but it is possible to observe the task scheduler behavior etc.

You can check the excellent BOINC FAQ Service for the <ncpus> flag and notes regarding it.
