QuantumFIRE is back up. I was just able to upload a WU, turn it in, and get a new WU.

Martin just told me that someone manually powered the server down. I suggested a big sign that says "HEY!!! Don't power me down. Addicted BOINC-ers depend on me!".

The cleaning crew needed a wall-outlet for their vacuum cleaner? ;-)

Looks like Collatz went offline about 11PM PDT (Thursday). Could be ISP trouble again.

They've been provided with food and sunlight, and left to breed, as well.

Their database went off line shortly after 6am UTC. I sent an email to Dave and Eric about it within a half and hour of finding that out, but didn't get an answer. So I don't know if it's a crashed database or that they've taken it down for testing/adapting. Some of the new Notices code may need to be added to the BOINC database. We'll see.

We had a machine crash (actually more of a hang) last night. The machine was mork, which runs the boinc database. MySQL recovered surprisingly quickly. So now I am letting the queues drain before bringing the project on line.

CPDN main project

FAMOUS file uploads

The disk of upload server uploader.oerc was full so Milo has shut it down to remove data. The data is being transferred to kraken.oerc.ox.ac.uk which is therefore also down.

FAMOUS files now upload to kraken, so these files cannot be uploaded at the moment though FAMOUS trickles are not affected. You could suspend Boinc network activity until Milo has finished the data transfer or you could take no action.

The CPDN Server status page is here.

Edit: Milo has left kraken's file upload handler running while he transfers data to it. So FAMOUS 6.11 files can in fact upload. But other parts of kraken are shut down for the transfer so uploaded results won't show in the CPDN database until the transfer is finished.

FAMOUS 6.10 files cannot upload.

CPDN server outages

That data transfer is complete and uploader.oerc is up and running again. FAMOUS 6.10 files can now upload.

Milo has started transferring data from cpdn-upload1.comlab which is down. He will probably also transfer data from uploader1.atm today or tomorrow. These are both upload servers. The outages should only affect files from some older models still being completed. If your file uploads are affected you could suspend Boinc network activity or you could take no action.

The Server status page is here.

Setti has had problems in the last few hours going into their planed 3 day outage. 20 min ago their result storage array has crashed. Uploads and WU processing functions are offline now.

MilkyWay is again experiencing problems with work creation and work validation. This is a repetitive problem for MW which only Travis seems able to resolve once he is aware of it and on site. Perhaps at some point he will document the issue and the temporary resolution steps so other MW folks who are on site on a daily basis can recover from the problem as well.

Malaria is offline (can't get to their home page)

SETI is now on its *regular* weekly three day Woodstock, which as others have noted has a fair amount of before and after disruptions as well.

The Lattice project seems to have dropped totally off the net overnight. Just before heading to bed last night lattice was very slow and today I can't find it and neither can downforeveryoneorjustme.com .

Guess someone forgot to flip the on switch for the SETI website. Or there has been another database crash and it is still recovering.
